Where do you find serenity?

Home is the most likely place.

I wanted to take a few days just to relax and do absolutely nothing.  Maybe just sit in a rocking chair and read a good book.  Enjoy the early morning hours before the sunrise, sitting on a porch with a cup of good coffee, while listening to the sounds of nature.

Sounds like a good plan, but where would a person find such a place?  I fired up the Internet to search for my dream vacation.  I found a few places that held promise of what I wanted.  There were cabins in the woods, and cabins by the lake.  But no mention of a rocking chair, and that was essential to my needs.  I wasn’t going to settle for anything less than what I really wanted.  Patience is the word here, and with a little time, a place would reveal itself.

After returning home from town a couple of days later, I stopped to open the gate to my property.  I was perplexed as I stood there with my hand on the latch and looked up the drive-way.  There at the end, surrounded by trees, was the place that I was looking for.
